We would like to introduce a case study that adopted the insulated intrinsic safety explosion-proof barrier "D5000" series as an explosion-proof measure for hazardous locations handling gas, oil, dust, etc. Conventional Zener structure barriers are inexpensive but require grounding, which necessitates construction efforts and measures against external noise. With SIL3 compliance, a slim design of 12.5mm thickness, and corrosion resistance due to G3 coating, high quality is achieved.
